Ranger JLTW,

No, the only pair I got is an old pair of jungle boots that have tore my feet up. So yeah I am in the process of getting some and I was going to go off some of the info about boots that I have seen on some threads.
But do you have any suggestions on what pair would be ideal to start with?

Thanks for the help.

Ranger JLTW,

I really appreciate the help. I wear around 11-11.5 usually in boots. I will take a look at those Bellevilles. Any advice and help is greatly wanted and needed.
Thank you sir.

They issue Altama "summers" and Vibram "winters" for Desert boots at OSUT currently, Ranger JLTW. I saw/read they are issuing ACU CamelBaks as well.

I have been attending the University of Oklahoma since spring 2005. When I graduated high school I had no knowledge of the military let alone Army Rangers or any other Special Operations stuff. My first semester in college is when 9-11 occurred. Oddly, I starting taking a interest in the military when Rumsfeld and Gen. Myers were delivering there daily reports in late 2001. Early on I knew the Army was the branch that offered the best and most opportunities. And ever since I have been set on joining after college. I was an inch away from doing ROTC and that abruptly changed when I read up on SOF. While educating myself on the military I instantly took a liking to Special Operations. I always tried to imagine what SOF dudes were like and what popped in my head was smart, athletic, tough as hell, and always up for a challenge. These attributes I tend to associate with myself. Everyday, that goes by I see that these attributes tend to be a rarity in civilian life. Now that I have signed my family with the exception of my father does not understand what I am trying to do. No matter how I explain it they don't follow. A majority belong in the civilian world and few belong in military training and combat so to speak.
From what I have learned thus far, the Rangers are a place I need to be.
OK, good response. Too many grammer/spelling errors, however. You should have spent a moment or so rereading your entry to catch the errors. I do like the way you think. One of the things I like most about this site is that I'd like to think we have assisted a number of young men prepare themselves for service in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Never, never quit!

It seems to me that you've got a long time before you ship. You might do well to slide over to the mentoing zone and think about requesting a Ranger Mentor. Like you said, time is on your side, but it also goes by quick. And time wasted can never be regained. Make the best use of your time before you ship.
