I took the bubblesheet ASVAB.
We found, back in Intell school (specifically 96B, ca. 1998), that those that took the electronic version averaged 5-10 points higher than those that took the bubblesheet. We figured it came down to the simple math section; it takes too long to fill in the stupid bubbles, even though you know the answers instantaneously.
Anyway, having a score in either the 80's or 90's seemed to make no difference in our class standings, although those with scores in the 70's seemed to especially struggle.
But, as the Rangers have commented, ASVAB scores don't make the soldier. It's especially evident in Intelligence units, where you usually have a lot of smart people, that are good inside their MOS, but often have problems with at least one area of basic soldiering (PT, marksmanship, etc.).
