Neat, that has to be without a doubt the largest model airplane I've ever seen. I remember seeing pictures/video of a similarly elaborate B-52 model, and the photos after it crashed in which it disintegrated and burst into flames.

I'm sure the builders of that B-52 model were crying when that ...

Ranger Silverback,

I was more or less curious at the general process for volunteering or renegotiating in basic or AIT. Secondly I was really just wondering what the assessment (By someone who knows about the process) of my overall chances were at succeeding in that endeavor are, or if I've flat ...

Airborne slots.

Either I am retarded or just unlucky, despite two trips to meps (Also pestering the career councilor) and consistent pestering of my recruiter and the senior recruiter at the station I was unable to get an Airborne slot in my contract.

I ship on the 13th to Fort Sill as a 97E (Humint collector) and ...

Of course, the catch was you had to void your current contract - meaning you lose any bonus or other benefits you might have gotten in your initial deal.

The only things I got in my contract was the maximum amount ACF/GI Bill and a $3,000 cash bonus. I'd break even if I lost the $3,000 bonus due ...

A 97E, huh? Are you getting a language?

They've temporarily suspended the language requirement for now so unfortunately not. I understand that it's almost a given later in my career though (What I've read is that 97Es either have to go learn a language at E5 or reclass to 97B). Given that ...

From this URL:

Sitrep: I'm in DEP, shipping to Fort Sill (97E) on 20060913. I'm kind of late doing this update as I've been in DEP for several months now, but better now than never. I was unable to secure an Airborne slot at MEPS but hopefully will be able to re-negotiate in BCT or volunteer during AIT.

I ...

Heh, these posts realistically embody the stereotype of many people I have seen on gun forums on the internet. Luckily these people don't seem to frequent the local range all that much.

Ranger Vee, Since I cannot edit my post, let me say that I am an imbecile and failed to read "Do" under your first sentence. I am doing pushups now.

Don't say. Don't say shit.
Ranger Vee, let me clarify. I'm saying that I WILL complete my goal of losing 100 pounds, not becoming a Ranger. Yes, I will not fail myself.

There was a guy who is of incredible Ranger fame who before coming in the Army was about 100 pounds overweight.

Ranger Abell9, this Ranger whatever his name may be will serve as an inspiration. I'm well over half way to losing 100LBs and have no reason to stop now. In my mind I know it can be ...
