You should work hard at getting off of them period. Do you feel you need them?

You still want that longer barrel for competing. Not saying you couldn't with the G19 but...I think the G17 is a great pistol. Now if I wanted something for carry, I'd definitely go with the G19.

When I went to RS (1-95), I don't remember any real time for anyone to "learn" how to use a map and compass. I know that all of the batt boys knew how to do it before they got there. It was taught briefly before the land nav test but I believe that anyone that didn't show up with that skil...
