Lets cut to the chase:
I try to buy a new toy every spring (Bonus time).
I've got revolvers, XD, 1911, 22's.
I think I need a 9mm. I want to use it in IDPA SSP also, so no XD. Here is where I am at and I figured I would see what all you knuckle dragers had to say. Seems to me we got a Preacherman that might know a thing or two about guns around here too.
Thinking about:
Glock 17 or 34
M&P either 4 or 5"
CZ-85 Combat
What does ya think?

Don't go for the G17, IMO.
The only reason I have one at home is because it's my issued weapon. I'd much rather carry a G19.
SW MP is supposedly very nice according to colleagues and friends of mine who own one.

You can't go wrong with the G34 or the M&P 9L or 9Pro if you are looking strickly for a compitition pistol. If your looking for a carry pistol than I agree with Nomad with the G19 being a better fit.

Re: That time of year... Again.
I hadn't considered a G19.. but since it is only a half inch difference in barrel length I can't see where it would make much of a difference in accuracy and be easier to conceal.
Thanks

You still want that longer barrel for competing. Not saying you couldn't with the G19 but...I think the G17 is a great pistol. Now if I wanted something for carry, I'd definitely go with the G19.
