Just finished the AR. I will be building a free floating fore grip later to match the 3 rail receiver since none are offered. Next step is to take it to the range and sight it in. Just don't know when that will be.

Thank you all, this was fun, I might have to do it for a living.
$150 for the striped Rock River lower
$70 for the guts for the lower
$129 for the DPTMS 6 rail free float
$99 for the 6 position butstock and SAW style grip.
$180 for front and rear sights.
I had the Bolt/Carrier group and Barrel (.223) so they got reused. I will be replacing them both in the future, just not sure when. I am sitting at +/-$787 right now. I will tell you that to do it all over again, I wouldn't get the 6 rail free float or the 3 rail upper. could have saved lots. Oh well, live and learn.
As far as building them, Brother I was a little skidish myself, but trust me, there is no reason to be. It is very easy, and there are lots of people that love helping.
and a Rock River lower from a local gun shop.
Little of all. That is why I went with the collapsible stock. It is a GP grab and go gun, and eventually I will put some form of real optics for the sligtly longer range part.getoutatheway wrote:Is your intent CQB, mid, or long range ?
