I'm back.
I got back from the hospital at 10 this morning...been sleeping since. Damned cast itches. ive shoved everything up there to stop the itching. Pens Pencils a ruler...hell I almost gave up until I found out that the antenna on moms car unscrews...thought I was in heaven!
Anyways, thanks for the kind words all. Some say that I did a great job, and that I was a hero. I just wanted to say that im not. I didnt do any more than any good American would do. Thanks for the vote of confidence though. I should be up and running again very soon, and up to date on any assignments I might have missed. I'm too fucking tired and sore to check now. Will do soon.

Great to see you're back and recovering. You may not think you're a hero but you must admit what you did was heroic. You could have gotten out and waited for someone else to take charge, and no one would have blamed you if the victim died, but you took charge.
Great job and recover soon!!

Malarkey87 and Pfc_Oreo, thanks for the support guys. I seriously appreciate it. And while you say I am a hero or did something heroic, I still say I just did something that needed to be done, nuff said.
BTW, Dad says your most welcome, and when he gets some free time hell put up a proper intro. He also said sry for not doing that in the first place, didnt plan on staying too long, so he didnt read the FAQs.

We neva worried about that considering why he came on. Now that you have taken it upon yourself in a different light we will just smoke you more when you get better. I hear the family that does push up's together does push up's together. Since your Dad was merely a messenger, allowance can be made to go easy on him. We were not worried then nor are we now.Lotus Lips wrote:Roger that Ranger Earthpig and Ranger Luna, recovery comes first. In that case im off to bed.

There is a sociological experiment in place that proves this. The smaller the group of people the more likely someone is to get needed help/take needed action. In a dyad-a group of two- the response is near 100%, but the larger a group the closer to 0%Zoomie wrote:Good work on doing what needed to be done Lips. Best wishes on a swift and complete recovery.
Just some perspective for you... when I was an EMT, we were told that in a restaurant full of crowded people a man can choke to death. Almost 80 percent of the people in the restaurant will have a basic knowledge of how and when to do the Heimlich Maneuver, but less than 5% of the population is willing to step up and do the deed. Its called crowd think or herd mentality. Everyone expects someone else to deal with it.
You stepped up and did the right thing. Welcome to the world of the better 5%.

Lips, KEEP THAT SHIT OUT OF YOUR CAST! You would not beleive the nasty shit living under there. You scratch your skin open and you can expect an infection that you wouldn't beleive. Now is a real good time to be practiceing controlling your body with your mind. Once you learn how, you can will the itch away. You have to be able to ovecome these minor discomforts.
I never wore a cape, but I still have my dog tags.
