Rangers, I am 19 and currently in the reserves. I went to Basic at Ft. Benning and I was a slpit option because I played college football last semester. But I desided that I liked the Army to much just to stay in school and play football plus next year I would not be able to do both so I desided to go active and get a new contract. I went to MEPs three days ago and the combat related MOS that they offered me was fire support specialist 13F. I was told that this is the job that I would want if I wanted to become a Ranger. If anyone as any info on this MOS or any advise for me it would really help me out. THANKS!!!

Do you have a contract for Option 40? Or are you hoping this will magically happen for you at some point during your enlistment?

Since I am currently in the reseves that means I am prior service so I could not get option 40 in my contract.
