Introduction

Post by NewRecruit82 »

Hello everybody! I just found this site a few day ago and am now a member!

I am joining the Army/Active Duty in the next few months. I am 30 and prior service, USAF, so my MOS choices might be somewhat limited. I was a SP (Security Specialist). However I am pretty sure on either 11B (Infantry) or 97B (Counter-Intelligence). I really want to go Airborne, but my age might hinder me from getting it in my contract. I also have high goals set for either Ranger or SF, but since I'm over 30, I will have to wait till I can vonunteer when I'm in. My recruiter did tell me I could get Guaranteed Duty Station; in which I could choose Ft. Bragg, home of the XVIII Airborne Corp. so I could go that route. I am joining because the civilian world sucks ass and I wish to serve my country again, simple as that!

If anyone has any info ar questions dont hesitate to PM me. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Thanks Evolution for bumping me up a notch into the veterans section. I forgot I was one. LOL! I tell you what guys and gals, you dont know what you have lost till its gone. I respect the military more now being out almost as much as I did when I was in. I sometimes wonder why I choose to leave? Probably for some stupid little reasons. Oh well, its time for ROUND TWO!! Bring it on. I am in better shape than I ever was and am willing to serve again. I'll ask questions if need be, but I dont want to hound you Rangers too much. Thanks again for the input.
