Ranger Mom

Post by Ranger Mom »

My son has been serving in the 3/75 since shortly after September 11th. Many of the guys have taken to call me ‘Mom’, some because they aren’t close to their own parents and others because they know that I love each and every one of them, I’m always looking out for them (and giving them advice and counsel whether asked for or not sometimes), and have been praying for them for over 3 years now. As all Rangers know, we are a very, very close family!

My signature quote: "Faith is the substance of all things hoped for, but not yet seen." Hebrews 11:1

My son's signature quotes: "Never Give Up" & "Live Your Life to the Fullest"

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34

"Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

"Freedom is not free" Unknown

Welcome, Mom, and thanks for all that you are doing for America's best. Have your son stop by when he gets a break.....we'd all be honored to meet him.

Hello, Sunshine...your always welcome and your faith is admired. Of course, we are bacically a heathen flock here and we tend to swim in the ditch more often than not but you will always be treated with respect.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

I should let you know that another reason the guys call me 'Mom' is that I when I'm down at Ft B, the majority of my time is spent with them in the barracks so I'm quite used to the 'swimming in the ditch' that ya'll love so much. They guys (and their here today, gone tomorrow 'girlfriends') also wouldn't feel comfortable confiding in me if they thought the things they do and say offend me in any way. I'm grateful for the consideration, always.

Welcome RM

Here is another one for you Ma'am. It was sent to me while I was in Vietnam by my Grandma:

"Live for today, for there may be no tomorrow."
