Dirty Wars

Post by Bushwack »

I just started reading Dirty Wars. I am curious about the author’s claims’ regarding the way military policy was determined by the then chain of command from Dick Chaney through Donald Rumsfeld to the combatant commander and executed by JSOC.

The book is to me interesting and a bit disturbing. To be clear, I have nothing but the most humble respect for the soldiers on the ground carrying out their orders and assigned missions.

So my question is; is the author accurate about the upper end of the CoC or does he have an ax to grind?

I don't know of a better place to hear honest opinions then right hear.

I think it has more to do with selling books and the film.
