Remembering Sgt William Aaron Barr 1983-2010

Post by Robert K. Barr »

Sgt Barr was killed as a result of a hit and run accident in Macon Ga on August 21, 2011 only two months after his ETS. I am seeking those who may have served with him during his four years in 1/75 and memories/photos of his service. Aaron was my only son and did not talk about his work other than to say what a courageous and great group of guys he worked with.
If you can provided me with stories, memories or pictures of Sgt William Aaron Barr, his father and his family would greatly appreciated it. I can be reached at robertbarr1952@gmail.com. Many thanks to all the men who worked with him in the most dangerous job in the world. May God bless and keep you all. RLTW
Your help would be greatly appreciated by his father, family and friends.
He survived the battles but lost his life due to a careless and intentional accident were he was run off the road on his motocycle and killed almost instantly when he impacted the guard rail. The driver who caused the accident sped off and left your ranger brother to die in the street without his family, friends or fellow brothers to help.
Please help us remember him.

Damn. I wish there was a way to ease all parents pain for such a tragic and sensless loss of a great young man.

I never had the honor of meeting either of you Sir, but we feel the loss of every Ranger Brother, and we're standing right next to you in spirit.

May God bless your family and may time ease your mind.

Rest easy Ranger.

Grip Hands. May your memories of him always be of the strong, patriotic Warrior you raised and who valiantly defended our country and our way of life. God Bless You & Yours.

Met your son and his wife a year ago at the Ranch on Memorial Day Weekend. Had the pleasure of seeing Carley again this Memorial Day. Prayers out for your entire family!

I also met Aaron at the Memorial Day bash. He is certainly missed and never forgotten.

I met Aaron in Matagorda, Tx while he was still in college. We all spent the day fishing with Rock Island Ranger. I think I have some pics somewhere.

Sir, not sure if you have access but there was a thread regarding your son. I can tell you that I shed tears when I heard about it. I met Aaron and his wife last year at the Memorial Day gathering.

I wish strength for you all, and justice for Aaron.
