My father in law, served in Vietnam. He passed away this past week, looking thru his things, my husband found some pics and a book, and was trying to find more information about it, as his dad hardly talked about his time on the army. After looking for info on the internet without success, I thought why not ask in the forum. The book he found has a cover with the following information: US Army training Center Engineer. Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Company A, 5th Battalion, 3D Regiment, 1 October 1964.
Also one of the pictures has a sign that says: A5 Blue Devils 1Plt, 3D TRB.
any information or a clue to where to look for information, would be greatly appreciated.
thank you in advance.

Try this ....http://lmgtfy.com/?q=U.+S.+Army+Trainin ... +Engineer+
Does it look like the book in the 4th link down, the one from Amazon? If so (and I imagine it does) that's a Basic Training "Year Book". I bet his picture is in there somewhere. Means he was a Combat Engineer in the '60s and did his training at Leonard Wood.
Google is your friend
p.s. Don't take that the wrong way, my Smart Alek switch is pinging hard today
