Introduction UntamedAn1mal (Cody)

Post by UntamedAn1mal »

Hi, I am a sixteen year old and am currently a sophomore in High School. I've shown interest in the Armed Forces, specifically the Army for quite a while now.

I have a brother who is currently serving, and he is Airborne Infantry, though he has been contacted by the Rangers before. He served in Afghanistan, and is currently in Alaska almost done with his four years.

I've shown interest into securing an "11X Option 4" Contract since last year, never really have been interested in any other MOS. I came here to talk to people with experience.

I'm on the edge of what I plan on doing getting into RASP, Ranger School, etc. though. I have not gotten that far.

I am also going to the recruiting station tomorrow to pick up an Army Workout Routine Handbook (If there is one) or DVD's, or anything of the sort... I plan on replacing my current weight lifting routine with an Army-authorized one.

Sports I am in to:
-Bodybuilding
-Powerlifting
-Strongman Competing

Welcome UntamedAn1mal, kewl name.

Since you are 16 It would be to your benefit to read: About Army Physical Training and read the 1st 4 stickies and you will have a wealth of knowledge that you can use to prepare you for RASP.

When you get that book from your recruiter - it might be interesting for you to compare what you read here verus what might be in that book.

I did go to the recruiter today and spoke to the recruiter, I was also trying to look into local JROTC or Youth/Cadet Programs (High School Level) with no luck. I did get the handbook/pocketbook though on Army Physical Training.

yeah I would give that book to your sister and find some work outs on here. also, the sports you described don't exactly scream "endurance" which is what you will need alot of to get where you want to go.
