Tommy

Post by crixus »

Hello rangers and fellow future soldiers. I'm tommy and i enlisted as an 11x with option 40. I leave june 6th this year. I've know about this forum for a while and have read a lot of good advice already even before joining. I was told i couldn't get option 40 because the back up and was told to take a different job. I refused because i wanted to become a ranger and i knew that i must hold out until i got option 40. It took weeks for my recruiters to find it but i finally got a spot.

I hope to one day be considered a brother of yours.

welcome and congrats on getting your contract. make sure you're in shape so that you can keep it. since you've been here awhile, you should have read to capitalize Ranger and "I" when using it as a pronoun. attention to detail will save you pain, might as well start now.

good luck.

Welcome to the site . . .congrats on your option 40 contract. Ranger KW Driver has an excellent point, attention to detail is just part of being a true Professionals, a Ranger. You have the time, listen and learn.

Got one of the 75 contracts that were put on the system yesterday, eh? You can thank an old PSG of mine for that. Don't waste this opportunity, there are many that would kill to be in your shoes.

Welcome, Tommy. A man has only one opportunity to create a favorable initial impression. You're doing well enough. One of the things you may have noted so far is that this is not a normal web site. If your goal is to serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. We take pride in the number of young men who have passed through here on their life's journey. For your initial task, please self-administer a PT test and post your results on this thread not later than midnight, Sunday,13 February, 2011. Never, never quit!

Thank you Rangers for the warm welcome. Ranger Goon175 i think i might of gotten one of them. MY recruiter told me it'd be nearly impossible to get one since I am a year removed from high school but i persisted.

Ranger Jim I did a pt test about a week and a half ago. Here are my stats
Push ups 2 min- 72(goal is 110 before basic)
Sit ups- 78(110 also)
2 mile- 14:25(want to get it down to 13 flat)

I will be starting pt everyday this upcoming monday.
Again thanks for everything Rangers.
