Graduated ABN Class 06-11

Post by Cisco4711 »

Hello Rangers,

I graduated Airborne School yesterday and man was it an exicting week! Currently at Pre-RASP and we're set to take a PT test this Monday. Really glad to be where I am and thanks to this website I feel very confident I'll be fine throughout the course. Looking forward to the Ranger life and I'll post when I can.

Let us know who & what shakes out come Monday.

Becoming a paratrooper just means you've checked the first box that allows you to try out for genuinely cool stuff. Even though I just minimized it, you've still done 1,000% more than most Americans will even consider, much less attempt, so good on you for that.

One of your classmates just posted that your RASP class has had ten quit already just thinking about it. Every time you think about quitting, ponder if you want to be hung out in some deadend Afghan valley with no way out except through the savages and no way to quit and having some of them at your back. Or even worse, to spend the rest of your days knowing that YOU are one of them.

The way I became a Ranger and have earned the small amount of success I have had in life has been mostly due to one quality - determination. Lefty.

Congrats, young Troop . . .keep focused on your goal & NEVER QUIT! Let the others fall out,
you don't worry about them. Pay attention to detail, be single minded, & finish the mission.
