OSUT-sit rep/Rob

Post by Ndog275 »

As transcribed by Ndog-

Ranger Smith,

I've finished my first week of basic and things are going pretty well. We're getting smoked and all that good stuff. We got our first taste of ruck marching on a short 2 miler. Some people struggled, but I though it was a breeze.

We were in recepition for 10 days and we had an option 40 quit the day before we left for basic. It was unbelievable.

Our Drill Sergeants told us that we were all getting assigned 11B, which I was very happy to hear. Also, they're shortening our training cycle by 2 weeks so that we don't come back after the exodus. I think it's bogus. I'm trying to get as much as I can out of every minute.

Having a good one and never quitting

Rob

Rangers,

I'm on my 36 hour pass from OSUT with my father. Things have been going well, I qualified Expert and got that 300 on our final PT test. Still plenty of room for improvement. Graduation is December 16th, so there isn't much time left. I've met a lot of good guys and we all really help each other excel. I'm looking forward to finishing and moving on to bigger things. Thank you to all the Rangers and veterans, especially Ranger Ndog275, who contribute here.

Good job on your PT test and rifle qualification! Success is no accident and your hard work is paying off. Take pride in your accomplishments, but don't rest on them, bigger and better things are within your grasp. Keep driving on and keep us updated!

Have a good one and don't quit.

Rangers,

I graduated OSUT today and just got back home. It's been a great day. I'm going to be hitting the PT hard over the next 2 weeks. I'm heading back January 2nd for Airborne.

Congrats Infantryman! Pick out a big boy avatar reflecting your newly earned status as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army!

Hit the PT hard, enjoy the holidays but don't over do it and don't do anything stupid or illegal. A lot of dudes are going to slack off over the holidays and rest assured that collective punishment will be enjoyed by all, but with that having been said, show up strong so you can laugh at the weak as you trample their broken bodies.
