Re: Remington 1911 hitting the stores soon
It may be hard for me not to buy one too. Although it may be a little hard to justify to the wife, I already have four .45's, a Kimber Pro Carry, Glock 21, Taurus 24/7(Truck Gun) and the latest addition a Springfield XDm .45. She carries a Kimber Ultra Carry II.
If I do buy it will be a little way down the line due to just having bought the XDm .45. I plan on taking it to the range this weekend.

Brother, best of luck with the XDm .45. A friend of mine and fellow SWAT Op just sold his, or should I say shoved it into the hands of the first person that would offer cash. I hated it, and so did he.

Panther, Al might be an officer, but I'd wager that he's had the time on his hands to learn how to get pretty good with at least one of those point.fourfives!
One of those Remington or Springfield products sounds pretty damn tempting here too. Same issue with the HH6 here, too many toys purchased in too short a time, I might have to wait until I've paid down the tuition a little further and just rely on the Glock for the time being.
Hmm, a Remington .45 you say...

If you find it you can identify it by the triple layer of sandbags around the full exterior of the house. But first you have to get past the two rings of triple concertina wire with tangle foot and foogas canisters. Then you get to the moat. Did you know its warm enough here to raise alligators?panthersix wrote:Where's your house again?al_2ndWolfhounds wrote:It may be hard for me not to buy one too. Hey, I was enlisted before I was commissioned. I was even good enough to get a Good Conduct Medal. I ended up qualifying with the M-14, .45 Pistol, .45 Grease Gun, 90mm Main Tank Gun, .50 Machine Gun and the M-16. Got to admit that both of the .45s were a bitch, the pistols were so old and loose it was almost better to throw it at the target and the grease gun was just not made for accuracy.K.Ingraham wrote:Panther, Al might be an officer, but I'd wager that he's had the time on his hands to learn how to get pretty good with at least one of those point.fourfives!![]()

I still remember my enlisted and officer serial numbers then they changed us to Social Security Numbers, I went through three sets of Dog Tags with the last set having both my Officer and Social Security numbers.

That sound you hear is me crying/laughing at that comment. It just presents a visual....oh forget it.al_2ndWolfhounds wrote: the pistols were so old and loose it was almost was better to throw it at the target .....

I saved my pennies and bought an HK USP Tactical .45. It set me back a bit, but was worth every penny. You can hammer nails, throw it in the creek and run it over. The damn thing still works.
I was looking for a 1911 and thinking about a Colt. But this may be worth the wait.

My HK USP tactical runs like a sewing machine, but I hate the trigger - it feels like trying to shoot a staple gun!C-MAC wrote:That sound you hear is me crying/laughing at that comment. How's come you didn't mention the Tok's! Have you shot through a car door with one yet? I don't need a .45 but I sure do WANT one!
