The lineage established by Muslims is through the illegitimate son of Abraham, Ishmael who was born because Abraham and Sara doubted that they would be able to have the child which God promised them.

Ok, the ill-legitimacy idea explains, Biblicly of course, why we fight. If the tenets of Isalm are loosely similar to the 10 commandments, could you offer an explanation of why there is mistrust between east and west?(basically us and them)
