Intro ,per someone

Post by 39mto39g »

I quite high school in my senior year owing them 140 hours of detention. I joined the Army, I went to Dominican Republic with the 82nd in 1966. I went to Fort Benning for more training, I volunteered for Vietnam. I was assigned to 1 bn 35th inf 3rd brg 25th infantry div vietnam June 19th 1967, Aug. we switched shoulder patches and I became part of 1/35 3/4inf.
I took part in the battle of Dak To with the 173rd, Hill 875, and the Battle of Kontum . I was also with the some 101 guys outside of Duc pho and north just outside of hue. I walked RT9 in Feb 68, I walked from Tam Ky to Cambodia with some Americal guys, some Cav people , 173rd and 101.
We----Kill over 5,000 enemy on that little walk. I seen a bunch of friends get killed and or wounded and I came back to the world and went to college, I joined the Fire department and retired 2 years ago. My wife told me to get off the couch, and so now I am a Maintenance director for a hospital in Houston. And now I am here where you people tell me I need to do a intro.

PS: Also retired fire here. I was led down that road by one of your peers, a former 1 Cav who flew in some of the same campaigns, Dak To inclusive, before he went on to Oakland Ca FD in later years.
