Issues at MEPS

Post by kitlo »

Rangers,

I took the trip to MEPS to get my physical and to be sworn in on Wednesday. My recruiter reserved me the Option 40, with 11x as my MOS. I was disqualified by the doctor however because of a herniated umbilici, (my bellybutton). Of course I was extremely upset, seeing as I want nothing more than to serve in the ARMY. Now my recruiter told me to visit my doctor, which I did the very next day, and have him write a note stating that my bellybutton is fine, which I recieved from him upon his evaluation of it. He scanned the note into the computer and is awaiting the verdict, whether or not I will be able to be cleared for qualification by this note or not. So my question to the Rangers is, Can a note such as the one I recieved clear me for duty? And are my chances of serving shot?
As you can probably guess I am quite concerned about this issue and would like any type of feedback that the Rangers can give. Thank you.

You'll have to say, to the most of us, what a herniated belly-button does to hinder your duty...Because I have no damn clue what it could be...

Stay strong, keep your head up. If you want it bad enough you'll find a way.
