Hello folks

Post by Griffin »

Hi everyone. My name is Anthony, I hail from Orange County, CA. and I just completed my first year of college. I am strongly considering joining Ranger School during this time of war because I feel I need to do something about what's going on on the other side of the world, especially after the latest cowardice beheading of the Korean civilian. I have always intended on joining the Few and the Proud Marines, but I am not yet sure if it is possible to go to Ranger School as a Marine. I can honestly say I have already had a taste of hell during my wrestling career in high school; I was an idiot and I'm suprised I'm not dead from that. I know Ranger School is the worst possible experience possible, so I'm not saying I know what to expect from Ranger School, but I have gone through much more than 99% of 19 year olds. That's me and I look forward to our future interactions.

Dude, going to Ranger School and being a Ranger in a Ranger unit are 2 different things.

No one gives a flying fuck how tough you thought wrestling was in highschool.

The fact that you grew up in Orange County and would still even consider joining the Corps speaks volumes, and not in a positive way in my book.

I was born and raised in the OC, graduated Fountain Valley HS......

You are already disappointing me as a representative from the OC.

I think a pro-wrestling (or rasslin' if you're from down here) career is admirable endeavor. Kept on representing the O.C. and maybe your show on FOX will get renewed.

OK, I may be out of line by saying this, and if so I will do pushups until my head explodes but....

I've been noticing a lot of new guys introducing themselves here and bragging about their accomplshments. Before you tell us all how great you are, stop and think about your audience for a second: You're on an Army Ranger site. These guys have "Been There and Done That." Do you really think your jinjitsu class will impress anyone?? If you think so, you need to read THIS, then come back and tell eveyrone how tough wrestling practice is.

I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here, just trying to raise the awarness of who you guys are talking to.

By the way, WELCOME.
