It's amazing how they can pull some shit out of their ass when the recruiters are trying to make mission. Hold out till you get what you want, just don't waste the slot for someone who really wants it.

There is no other job in the military quite like being a medic in a Ranger Battalion.
If that is your dream, (and it is a worthy one in my biased opinion), then wait.
Aside from being a cool fucking job, it is an astounding foundation for later career progression.
Twenty-eight years after I began my military career as a platoon medic in 2d Bat, I STILL worry about the guys in my old unit.
We are coming up on a significant anniversary in a couple of days.
Got to check on the boys.

wow what a "coincidence"!niko wrote:Today I went to the recruiter and I remind him that I will not go without my 68w w/opt 40 so he decided to check the computer again before he called ROC. Amazingly it showed up this time. Im headed out to meps on monday and barring any medical problems I have that I dont know about, I will come back with my 68w w/opt 40 secured. Thank you Rangers and SFC hit_it for all your time and for sharing your knowledge with me on this site.
