Gentlemen and Ladies,

39 years ago this very day I pinned on my stuff and got ready to leave the world and join I Co., 75th Inf. Seems like just yesterday. 8)

Damn, I was a SSG advisor with the 42d Vietnamese Ranger Battalion on operation in the U Minh Forest. We spent most of October in that AO. Walking in a swamp that had no bottom.

I actually didn't get into country until 9 Nov '69. Had 30 days leave after RS before I shipped.

That's one of the cooler uniforms I've ever seen. The scroll is sweet, but that crest on the pocket is awesome.

You need to will that thing to a museum before you go to GRITs. Young studs will drool over it like a suit of armor and get all psyched up to slay dragons.

I'm psyched just looking at it.
