Ranger Steadfast:

Enlisted Oct66
Basic at Ft Knox, Oct66-Dec66
Infantry AIT at Fort Gordon, Jan67-Mar67
Jump School at Fort Benning, Apr67
Assigned to 187th PIR, 101st Abn, Fort Campbell and went over to Vietnam during the "Big Lift" in Dec67.
Medevac'd back to Fort Campbell Mar68
The next couple of years I was in "Garrison Hell" as a leg because of physical profile....no more jumps for me!

Volunteered and returned to Vietnam Dec70, and assigned to 3/503rd PIR, 173rd Abn Bde. (I lied about my profile  )

Came back with the Herd to Fort Campbell in Aug71, and then became a leg again when the 173rd was deactivated in Jan72.

Couldn't stand being a fucking leg!.....decided to let my time run out and got the hell out of the Army. If I could have stayed Airborne I probably would have done twenty years.
Yeah, I'm a Vietnam Veteran....So what?

Yes indeed. The more FOGs we can get on here the better. Makes it smell a bit like menthol, but that's just fine.

Welcome aboard.
