Introducing Moni

Post by Moni D »

Hi y'all. My name is Monica, nickname Moni. I am a 25 year old woman in college full-time, working toward an AAS in Criminal Justice-Police Science. Eventually want to work for Gavin de Becker & Assoc in LA doing threat assessment and management.

I wound up on this site whenI was searching the name of a friend from when we both lived in Bangor Maine who was a Ranger. Came here hoping I could find him.

:?: Also, is my avatar selection adequate?

I am more of a centrist. My views go either way depending on the issue. According to my dad I am conservative (he's a liberal democrat) and according to my mom I am FAR too liberal (shes a conservative republican). My friends say I ride the fence. They are just jealous b/c I have a brain and am not afraid to use it :D

By the way- I am happy to be in a place where someone has actually HEARD of Gavin de Becker. Normally I have to explain who he is to everyone

Monica,

The life experiences of many of the Rangers here on the board would amaze you........

Some of us grunt words as a response, and some right books as a response, but on the whole, we are all fairly intelligent with a lot of varied backgrounds..........

Wouldn't surprise me if someone on here knew someone that worked for Becker.

Do you know someone in his company? Why are you attracted to that firm if you don't mind me asking?

Welcome Moni, I traveled a bit too.

I spent 2 months in Ft. Jackson, 2 months in Ft. Gordon, 1 month in Ft. Benning, 5 months in Ft. Bragg and 10 months and 24 days in RVN.

Moni, did you hike down the Applachian Trail or take the easy way in your Beamer down the interstate. However, you came, I for one am glad your road brought you here. I know you are new here but do you think you can make like 3000 posts before tomorrow after noon. A word of two in each post will do. I generally don't ask this of people that just came on but like NEO in MATRIX, I think MONI is the ONE!

I don't know anyone there personally, although I have researched the firm a bit.
I want to work there because the firm is the best at what they do. Among their clients is The US Supreme Court, many celebrities, and so on. Mr de Becker's firm has designed Mosaic (r) systems which are used in various institutions to determine a level of threat.
He provides expert witnesses in many trials, some high profile, some not.
And I want to work for the best :)
