Awesome video, this dude had a vicious uppper cut. Forgive my ignorance but one of you New England types enlighten me as to who this fighter is.

I think that's Irish Mickey Ward from Lowell MA. He does have a vicious left upper cut.

I just saw on the a movie site that Mark Walhberg and Matt Damon are going to make a movie about this fighter. I've never seen this guy before today, but that dude can hit :shock:

That might be footage of him tearing up Arturo Gatti, it went 10 rounds and Ward dropped him with a left hook to the body. He's been known to drop guys late in the fight with a body shot.

You should have kept going for it, instead of stopping halfway when you realized that it was against the rules. The judges would have ruled it "illegal, but awesome" and awarded you the match.

Mickey Ward and Arturo Gatti had three classic, bloody battles. Arguably 3 of the most entertaining fights ever. Of course since I started watching MMA boxing is obsolete in my eyes.
