9 dead in Nebraska mall shooting

OMAHA, Neb. - The teenager carried his rifle into the mall, passing shoppers and decorations.

A department store employee was pressing a suit for a customer. A woman was making a quick stop to buy Christmas presents before picking up her son from school. Christmas music played.

The gunman stopped on the third floor and cut through the sounds with gunfire. Shoppers and employees at the Westroads Mall scrambled for cover in dressing rooms, clothing racks, offices and storage areas.

Dude dropped out of the same high school I graduated from.

I'm going to have to get in touch with a friend of mine to make sure she's OK. Thankfully, she's not much of a mallrat, so she's probably fine.

Why can't these fucksticks have the common decency to start and end their killing sprees by shooting themselves?

This is exactly why this mook decided to hold target practice in a shopping mall; he wanted his name and photograph in the news so he could become "famous".

What they should have done was report:
There was a shooting in the mall today. The sick wackos name and photo are not being shown because he's too fuckin' worthless to deserve even this little taste of acknowledgement. Anyone stupid enough to want to see what the POS looks like can go to the dumptser behind the mall, where his carcass was deposited along with the other garbage, when the police cleaned up the scene.

That's one of the main reasons why this sort of tragedy will take place again and again and again. I don't remember this stuff occurring when I was a kid at all. If you were getting picked on or harassed in school you fought it out, and the next day it was all over and you were probably friends. If you're girlfriend dumped you, you called her a bitch and got another one.

Everything is so damn serious now. I don't understand it. Guns were more readily available 20+ years ago than they are right now. Hell, you probably had a rifle in a rack in your truck and a pocket knife in you pocket while in school. Well, I did go to high school in super-rural Georgia. I don't understand it. Kids used to do things like build up muscle cars, hunt, and play ball. What the hell are they doing now...crystal meth and cutting themselves and putting piercings in their dicks and brooding over who pushed them around in school or dumped them.

I think society has made kids today a bunch of pussies with no way to deal with aggression, confrontation, and emotional drama.

I hate to see this sort of thing happen, and I don't see an end to it. It's very unfortunate for the America that we all live in and help maintain.

I gave her a call and it turns out she's fine, but biting her nails 'cause there's always the possibility that she knows one of the people that got killed. Hell, there's still the possibility that I do, although I probably wasn't good friends with them.

Thanks for looking out for me though, brother.

*edit* They released the names of the victims. I don't know 'em.

I am listening to the news and they just played the 911 tapes from this. You could hear the shots, or at least a number of them after someone called in. Not good.

Yea most kids these days are doing more and more drugs as years go by in high school, last year here in TX there was crystal meth going around in school that lookign like candy pop rocks, i believe it got into my school... but i dunno i'm a clean kid

. but there has been people come to school high, matter of fact some guy brought weed up to my school trying to sel it and got arrested on site no big deal. but yea most kids are doign drugs and ruining their lives at a young age which is so damn stupid, cause in a few years they will be in a hospital from OD on drugs
