My new game gun
My new game gun
My newest addition to my line... Glock 34. I am going to run this in Production Class IDPA / USPSA. Been doing a hell of alot of shooting at a local club... mostly IDPA style "outlaw" stages. This little gun is a shooter!!! The mag well would not be legal in Production class, but it is at my little "outlaw" meets. It sure speeds up mag changes.

The G34 is effectively the same size as a Govt. model 1911. It was made to replace the G17L which had a longer slide / barrel. This gun fits in the IPSC "box", as does the 1911. It is one of the most common guns in Production... it has a scalloped slide, a VERY nice trigger, extended mag release, extended slide release lever, and is considered "production" legal.snipe4fun wrote:Oooo pretty!
A Glock is next on my list of Things To Buy. How does the G34 differ from the G17? longer slide? anything else?
I guess I could just go to glock.com but where would that leave the conversation?
Mine has a Wolf competition trigger kit in it, everything is polished, has Hi Viz front sight, magwell, grip tape, and shoots flat as hell.
Now, of course, the trigger mods I have, makes it NOT legal, but I have a box stock G34 trigger group that drops in within a minute.
The magwell comes off in a few seconds...
The club I shoot with, pretty much runs IDPA style matches, and you run what you brung. No inspections per se... and the 9mm is a hell of alot cheaper to shoot than my .45
I am building a G17 "Open" gun now... using a CCF Race Frame, and a Caspian Slide... C-More Sight, etc...
I will post pictures when I have it finished.
