It is a CETME in 7.62 NATO on a receiver made by Century Arms. It is the Spanish cousin of the HK G3/91. I paid about $320 a couple of years ago with full knowledge that I could end up with a piece of crap. Luck was with me as they apparently built this one correctly and without any of the common problems. The scope is a German made Hensoldt 4X Z24 that was intended for the HK G3. The original Spanish scope for the CETME is very similar, but also very rare. My first time on the range with the new scope showed me how sensitive this rifle is to ammunition. Some Australian 7.62 Nato would not group while some cheap .308 Win hunting ammunition produced a 3 inch spread at 100 meters. More to follow as I experiment with different ammunition.
