Introduction

Post by RogueFA »

Rangers,

Thank you all for your service, and contributions to this website. My name is J, I'm a 22 and a senior in college in Northeast PA. I'm in the ROTC program, and commission into the Field Artillery in May 07. I will finish Arty school late November, and then go on to RANGER School (have to complete pre-Ranger of course) . I've been working my tail off for the last 4 years, and don't plan on ever stopping.

I am committed to earning the Coveted Black and Gold, and am reading every last book, scouring threads, and asking as many questions as I can about RS to prepare myself; in addition to daily smoke sessions. This site is a fantastic resource. I have looked through the site quite a lot, and am particularly interested in some questions revolving the OPORD preperation and delivery process at RS, and other field craft related things.

Thanks again for allowing me to visit, I will post my progress in the appropriate sections.

A man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression -- you're marginal. Why Field Artillery? Why not the Pennsylvania Army National Guard? Are you the product of a Jesuit education?

RANGER JIM,

Yes, the Jesuits have left their mark. Why FA: I had some OUTSTANDING 13F NCO's help me out along the way, and they too left their mark. I want to learn from fine Soldiers like that. Why not NG: I want to be around Soldiers full time, and learn from the best.
