Introduction
Greetings,
My name is Andy. I am PS in the process of going back in. I have not made it to MEPS yet, however, to select an MOS. I want to go Infantry and eventually work my way into RIP. From what I have read so far I understand that PS has no option for RIP or being a Ranger. No disrespect intended, but I am going to try anyway. My utmost gratitude to the Rangers and for the jobs they do for me and everyone else. Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom from the Rangers of this board.

Re: Introduction
Sounds like you have a plan Browniac. Don't forget to put in for Airborne too unless you already are. You mention PS? How's about given us a few detail(s) of this PS of yourn.Browniac wrote:Greetings,

Additional Info as Requested
I was a 24C from 87-91 in the 31st ADA. We started out at Bliss then wound up at Hood. I served my time and went civilian (biggest mistake I could have made). My son just finished MEPS and decided on the Cav (19D). I have never been more proud in my life. Seeing him and talking with the recruiters made me decide to go back in. I have maintained my fitness level, although not that of the RIP but we both have been running and pt'ing like hell. Having been PM, I know that the secret to success is up to the individual, so the only person that can make me fail is me. The only thing that concerns me is the impact of BAC on a persons knees, after all I am not 21 anymore. Any comments on this would be appreciated. I will be reading a lot of the information on this board and look forward to learning from all of you.
you won't be given or allowed an OPT. 40 from MEPS. that doesn't mean you can't get to the Regt. you'll just have to work harder to get it.
motrin and ice/heat are your friends. just depends how beat up you are now. BAT isn't hard. humping a ruck for a week after a jump is harder.

If you are worried about your knees then continue hard PT.
I had the same thoughts but it never stopped me, and it hasn't yet. I still get those thoughts sometimes but I torque up the chinstrap and drive on............

drive on with a hard on, daddy!
