Navel Sea Cadet Corps/intro

Hi i my name is Zach i myself amnot a seal but have high hopes to be one i am in the Navel Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC). But my brother is in the SEALs on seal team 11 which is the assualt team. i am 14 am am already training for BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demo/SEAL Training) and the seal PST which is
a. 500-yard swim using breast and/or sidestroke in under 12 minutes and 30 seconds

10-minute rest

b. Perform a minimum of 42 push-ups in 2 minutes

2-minute rest

c. Perform a minimum of 50 sit-ups in 2 minutes

2-minute rest

d. Perform a minimum of 6 pull-ups (no time limit)

10-minute rest

e. Run 1 Â½ miles wearing boots and long pants in under 11 minutes and 30 seconds
Later hope to hear from some rangers on what they think about this. My grandfater was a ranger.

Or better yet, do not disrespect your brother's achievements by using SEAL at all in your username until you have earned the title.

Sadly the nearest pool is closed at the moment and i dont drill until the weekend. if you like i will change my screen name if it means something to you.

Welcome young man. I know you are proud of your brother and the Rangers on this board are proud for you as well.
We do wish you well in your pursuit of being a Seal and as you know, its not an easy road.
I would suggest that there are other sites that can help you look into and ask questions of former and current Seals. We dont have any on this page though we certainbly know who they are. Good luck, Son. We wish you well.

You are fortunate to have such a fine brother to look up to, and following in the family tradition is certainly an honorable aspiration for a young man to have. I certainly wish you well.

Lesson #1 on the long road to your goal might be that it can be construed as a lack of respect to call yourself something that you are not ..... just yet. I don't feel as if that is your intent in this situation. I think you just look up to your brother. I would too if I were in your shoes. But that title means something to people because it has to be earned.

Just something to think about.

Easy Days. Our site Administrator is a former Ranger and Special Forces soldier. The other men on this site take what they earned very seriously. We have many Rangers, SF, etc...For instance, when a man comes on the site and says he is a Ranger...he better be a Ranger. Thus, he changed your name out of respect to the soldiers who earned the title. Trust me and believe me when I say, it is for the best. You are welcome here, Son....but these gents take titles seriously. We have many who are not Rangers and we treat them with as much respect as we do each other. I hope I made that clear enough to understand.

ok i am not trying to say i am a seal and its ok that you changed my name but i whoud rater it be SEAL Whannabe or NSCC which i am if you dont like SEAL Whannabe thats fine but i am in the Navel Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC)
