Introduction

Post by redcut88 »

Hey All,

My name is Sean, and I am a junior and high school. I'm from Lake Charles, Louisiana. I am involved in school sports, working out, and I am doing my best to get my schoolwork squared away. I have a solid interest in Rangers and I intend to pursue that direction after I graduate.

I appreciate all the information on this website provided by the Rangers and all others involved, from what I have read it has done nothing but fill in blanks. I plan to lay low and read, considering most of what I need to know has been provided.

Thanks again,
Sean

Ranger PaperStreet 2/75,

I am absolutely interested in Rangers, and I am sorry for not being able to have relayed that effectively through my post. The military has been an ambition since beginning high school, and Rangers have been my ultimate goal in the past year or so. It has been my motivation for maintaining a strict workout routine, and school work. I have taken the asvab though my guidance dept. at school are scored a 77 overall (115 gt). I do intend to join through the DEP once reaching the desired age.

As far as sports go, I am our varsity strong safety for the football team. 5'10 185. 4.6 forty and I have been a defensive back throughout my high school career.

You are exactly where I was at when I enlisted in weight, sports, ambition and grades. I have you by 1 1/2 inches.
Try to get where you are doing 250 situps and 250 pushups per day. Stretch it out so that you do 25 of each x 10 x a day and work toward a goal of 50 of each 5 x a day and then to 100 in the morning. 50 at lunch, and 100 after school. When you get to this point it is easy to up your goals to 500 and then to 1,000 a day... Dont forget to include pullups too
If you can knock out 30 with no problem then put your goal at 50.. The girls will love the cut

Roger that Ranger Paladin 1952,

I've actually been working out with those exact specifications, except that I do 10 sets of 20 for both push ups and sit ups. As for pull ups, I began doing pull ups in my routine at the beginning of this school year (about August), and having not done them very much in the past I began with 2 sets of 6. I have been focusing on them since I began doing them since I began and I am currently doing 2 sets of 10 5-6 days a week. I have been stepping up my reps at the beginning of each new month, and I don't see any reason to discontinue progression.

This sentence makes absolutely no sense.

What I was trying to say was,

" I have been focusing on them since I began and I am currently doing 2 sets of 10, 5-6 days a week."

Sorry about that.

Excellent, Redcut88
Read the FAQ's, pay attention to the DEPS and what they have to tell you,
Read the posts of people who know and have BTDT, and dont post unless asked a question. With your determination and drive, you will make it. Just watch the knee's in football. Dont fuck them up or you are screwed.
I will watch your progress here!
Drive on!
I was a 4.4 forty and an extremely fast defensive back. I just tore up the offensive line. Coach Brown called me an Animal. Wonder Why?

Roger Ranger Paladin 1952,

4.4 time, thats too hot for me. You can always tell who has the 4.4's and below on the field. Recievers with 4.4's aren't fun, haha.

Thanks for the welcome.
