I did a search and only found one post about Army Tat's. Just curious if anybody on here had any and when they got it?

What i'm planning on getting after graduating Ranger school- Let me know what everyone thinks. A field grave (Rifle, Helmet, Tags) With our Flag flying in the background and underneath "Gone but not forgotten" and my grandfather Sgt. H. F. Baer USMC underneath. And my other Grandfathers name as well SFC L. J. Wilson US Army. Above the flag. Was thinking about just coloring our Flag and everything else is in a shaded type of coloring (black/grey/browns).

Lets hear what anyone else has or is planning on getting.

PS- To head off any sort of conflict with the USMC on there. Its in Honor of my Grandfather who served in the Corps. Its not to be considered Marine moto. And the grave is to be considered more like an Unknown Soldier rather than anyone in specific. I'd like to get this in honor of the Brave men and woman who have fought, and are fighting today.

Be careful with tats...they can jinx you. I saw a couple guys get a Ranger Scroll or a Ranger Tab, then get DX'd the next week. Kinda like buying a Tan Beret before you are supposed to.

Whatever tat you think you want, make sure you want it for a year before getting it. When I was a little punker, I wanted to get "Fuck Authority" and "Conflict" tatted on my head on either side of a Mohawk.....glad I didn't do that!

I got an eagle on my right arm on Christmas day (my one day off from RIP) with 2 other buds from RIP.

Drunk ass ex-blackhat put it on...MUST have been one of those guys who works better drunk, as he did good work.

I'm still thinking about getting the 75th crest on my left arm with "Sua Sponte" underneath it.

Wait to get your Tat until after all your traing. You don't want to draw attention to yourself when you're in training.

Thanks for the advice I'll heed the warning. I just spoke to my cousin who had a buddy tatoo USMC on his forearm just before entering boot and he got smoked a couple times daily. I definately dont want to be that guy

you would think that it would be common sense not to get a service tat before you complete basic training/ boot camp

Thats what I said, not to mention on your forearm. There are less conspicuous[sp] places to get inked and avoid the eyes of a Drill Sgt/Drill Instructor

All you DEP'ers with ballz, just go ahead and get these few words of wisdom tatooed on your arms. Show your instructers how tough you are:
