Introduction
Hello, Im just posting to give my intorduction. I'm a 21 year old college student studying history and political studies. I joined the US navy out of highschool; however, due to a misdiagnosis I was medically discharged. At this point I am trying to get into the ARNG and use that as springboard into active duty or whatever happens.
I was cut out during the training week 3 of boot camp, not of my own accord (I have always felt guilty about not being able to finish, I feel like I let my friends, back in my training division, down). I saw a doctor during training because I had a heart murmer (which I had told the CMO at MEPS about) and they wanted to check it out to make sure I had not lied to get in. So I went to see a navy cardiologist and he diagnosed me with a heart condition I don't have. Thus, I was on my way out before I could object. Originally, I was contracted to go to ET C school. During boot camp I volunteered to screen for BUD/S. However, that dream never came true...but one day I hope to get back in. Thanks for the welcome Rangers.

Without completing the initial entry training in the USN and being assigned to a unit with a mission (other than training you), you are not yet a veteran of any service. Please read the FAQ pertinent to this area.
