Newt Introduction

Post by mb81 »

Hello everyone. My name is Mike. I'm 24 years old and a senior in college. Once I graduate, I want to enlist and become a Ranger.

I want to be a Ranger because I want to be around the kind of high-caliber men that are in the Regiment. Not only are they tough and physically strong, they're also very smart. Also, I want a good challenge to test myself. Plus Rangers get all the women :D

I've been reading the boards for a couple of months and I thought it was time to introduce myself. What a great source of info this is. Now I'll just shut up and go back to reading.

Welcome young man. Trying very hard to understand why you think we are so damned smart....but thats fine. We have been called a plethora of things...but I never heard us referred to as "smart". I kinda like the tag.

I'm not the way I am because I was a Ranger - I was a Ranger because of the way I am.

Rangers,

I couldn't log in on my old username, so I made this one.

I've finished my degree, and after five visits to MEPS and much waiver-pushing on my recruiter's part (for PRK surgery), I have secured an 11x option 40 contract. I ship on 8/2/07.

My current PT scores:
Pushups: 57
Situps: 86
2 mile run: 14:24

Thank you for creating and maintaining this site; without your experience and advice, I probably would have figured that the MEPS counselors were telling me the truth when they said it was impossible to get an option 40 in my contract.
