Evening Rangers and Ranger Vet's.
I can't give out my name and rank due to where I am currently located in Iraq. But I am in the 101st Airborne Division in the 3 Brigade Combat TEAM 187 Infantry Regiment. I came out of the Army Reserves a long time back and saw the light for the active Army and had planned on re-enlisting for active duty. I actually was able to choose Ft. Campbell as my first duty station and I am glad I did. I love being in the Rakkasans and our Bde Cmdr is an awesome and well respected man. I do have the desire to earn the Ranger tab and have been working out every night. Push ups, running, sit ups , pulls up. Every kind of exercise I can think of.
For you Dep's and newbies coming in. Watch each others backs out here. That will help you stay alive in combat , and check up on one another too. Being mentally physically and emotionally prepared for this type of deployment will do you well. Good luck in your goals of becoming Rangers and going the basic.
Thanks for your time Rangers and thanks for your service to this great Nation of ours . But I must go now and get ready for work tonight. Being out in Iraq really puts a strain on you workin at night and still having work to do in the morning when you get off . And this is my second deployment to Iraq as well, so I am not new to this.
