Alright. Went to Ranger School twice but didn't get my tab. During my second shot at Pre-Ranger I cut the end of my toe off in a freak accident. I barely missed out on going to Afghanistan because I didn't reup. My last year in I was a spec-4 RTO. I was also kicked out of every bar in Columbus at one point or another.

toe incident
It was during the weekend pass you get before you got to the field during Pre Ranger. I had just gotten out of the shower in the old 3rd Batt barracks, and was only wearing a towel and shower shoes when I opened a large wooden drawer looking for a pair of contacts. The drawer slid all the way out because me a my roommates had way to much shit inside it. It smashed down on the end of my toe just below the toenail. A small flap of skin held it on and I wrapped it up tight with some kerlex after a large pool of bright red blood formed. My roomate heard me yell an eloquent chain of swear words, and drove me to Martin Army while I elevated my foot on the dash.
Of course I had to wait over an hour to get in the emergency room, and when the doctor unwrapped the kerlix his jaw dropped. He made a tourniquet with some surgical tubing and a kelly clamp because every time my heart beat blood squirted in the air. He then had some reservist medics irrigate it, one held the end of my toe back will the other poured in the saline. They were freaking out but all I could do was laugh. I am not sure what hurt worse, my toe or the litacain shots.
When the surgeon finally showed up the first thing he did was take a picture. I got eight stiches and he told me I had a 50-50 chance of having to get an amputation over the next week. I got my japanese jumpboot, and still ended up at Scooters that night. I healed okay, and ended up driving an ammo truck to Ft. Polk, and a doing a mission there a few weeks later.

Kicked out of every bar? Welcome! I think the everyone here, collectively, has been kicked out of every bar in the states and a good fucking chunk of all the bars in the world.bigjohnson wrote:Alright.
