No options for next fiscal year?

When I went to MEPS, I was told that I could not sign up because I was not willing to ship until January 2006. I went by today to get clarification and they told me that the Army has not "loaded" any jobs for the next fiscal year yet. They said they should be good to go in June because that's when all the high school seniors sign up as DEP's. Is this a fairly common situation? I used the search function but could not find a common story anywhere. Thank you for your time.

Yes it's pretty common. The Army right now is more interested in those who can ship ASAP (accession). Not someone who is only interested in leaving in January.

You got 2 options, wait until June or reevaluate why you want to wait until June.
