NoahH sprouted wings! (RANGER)
Just received this today from NoahH:
Ranger Earthpig,
Sorry it's been a while since I checked in. I graduated Airborne school yesterday. Jumping out of planes is the coolest shit ever. We are being held here for a week then getting picked up for RIP next monday. I think about a third of the guys with Ranger contracts quit when the RIP Liasion talked to us. We lost a few guys in OSUT, and a few more in ABN, but I never expected that many people to just give up. It kind of worked in my favor though because they gave all the quitters 18 hour CQ shifts so I got the weekend off which is nice. I can't say I'm not a little nervous going into RIP but I'm confident I will make it. Hopefully the next update will have good news! Take care.
Noah
Congrats on successfully defeating Old Man Gravity and earning those wings, Noah. Use your down time in Hold to perfect your weaknesses. Work on your run times, your pushups (this is where many a soldier fails the RIP PT Test), and your swimming (if you are weak in this area). Hit that Ranger Handbook and memorize the Creed if you haven't already.
Kudos on a job well done to this point. Keep your momentum and earn that Tan Beret. Good luck!

Damn Good Job, NoahH, yep Airborne School is the "beginning" of where you really start to see people quit, cause RIP is gettin closer and closer. Those who are weak of heart or spirit will sink to the botton like a dud rock. Pay no attention to them, there are more to come, you just make damn sure you ain't one of'em.
Drive on Airborne.
