SCAR or XM8?

Searched around, couldn't find any mention of the SCAR rifle.

Will the Rangers (as part of SOCOM) be going with the FN SCAR, or sticking with the Army and its XM8?

Thought I just read the Army dropped the XM 8, I still think its fucked up that this country cant design its own weapons anymore.
