Back in the age of dinosaurs and muskets during my teenage years (12, 13, 14) I was into gluing plastic models. It was legal back then for kids to buy any numbers of tubes of glue. Although I used lots of glue and rather liberally, I didn't intentionally get dizzy from smelling the shit. I was into building WWII jeeps, trucks, tanks planes and items of the like. I took the time to apply all decals and anything else that would make it look real. There was one problem. All my models looked new. So I went and bought a can of lighter fluid and string. I then tied all my models to 7 feet of string and hanged them up in the bathroom above the tub where we had a clothing rack to dry hand washables. I filled the tub with about 8 inches of water and poured glue amd lighter fluid on all my models. I light them up and the lighter fluid was a good excellerant. I watch all the models burn and eventaully the string burned through and the models fell into the water snuffing out each models fire. I quickly took them from the water and set them on newspapers to dry and patted down each one of them with a towel. I put these battle scarred items back on my bureau top. I admired them as they all looked pretty fucked up as if they were actually in the war. Oh yeah, My mom wanted to know what I was doing as tiny black flakes lighter than air were floating all around the house. These black flakes were ashes from the models. I didn't get into trouble for this. Mom didn't mind me having hobbies!

Ranger Steadfast, that reminds me of my hobby when I was a kid: Legos. They were the greatest toy ever, but now they suck. They come with like four big pieces and you put them together and your finished. When I was young some of the bigger sets were very complex. Building the sets with the instructions was great attention to detail training for me.

Young I liked airplane models from WWII. Yes I put firecrackers in them and crashed and burned them.
Now I’m into working out running and my son 5 years 7 months old and ArmyRanger.com of course.

I was heavily into models, too. Mostly airplanes, but also tanks and ships (battleships and aircraft carriers). I had the planes hanging from my ceiling, from wall to wall. When I had too many planes or tanks, or tired of one for some reason or another, I'd "put them into combat". Firecrackers (blackcats) were always good, and of course gasoline was always effective. It was always fun, until my brother and I once set a large portion of the New Mexico desert on fire....
