Welcome.
You won't attend OSUT here at FLW for 88M. You will attend basic training (pray you go to 2-10) and then move down the road for AIT. New Drill Sergeants, new unit, new people, etc.
88M AIT is only 5 weeks long. To successfully complete BT, you must achieve 50 points per event on the PT test. To successfully complete AIT, you must score 60 points per event. If you're right on the minimums, it's difficult (for some) to improve that much in a short period of time. Google the APFT chart to find out what your minimums are. Then set your goals at the 80 or 90 point per event standard.
If you smoke or chew - quit now. It's better to do it now while you can use medications that do it cold turkey in basic training with 100 others who are cold turkey as well. It does make a difference.
