A Typical Training Day
This is in answer to Angry Pistol's question-Well, it was a six-day training regime during most of the year. Most mornings it was "seven before eight", meaning swimming 3000m and run five miles equals seven miles total before breakfast. Then pistol shooting or horseback riding the rest of the morning. After lunch, there was a two hour break then a fencing lesson followed by a swim or maybe a track workout. Many of the athletes were military and still are, through the Army's program. I was a Navy j.g. lieutenant during my stint.

You're right.
There were girls on the team, too. I was slower than them all. My bright and shining moment was when some girls from Sweden showed up one winter. I followed them around for two months. :D
