Welcome Wrangler. I had melanoma in 1980, they did a "deep wide excission" that left a scar about 5 inches long and three inches wide on my left upper arm where they did the skin graft. Took all the tissue down to the muscle. It's beatable, a good mental attitude really helps. I never doubted for a second that I was going to survive. Good luck man.wrangler1357 wrote:Prognosis 50/50, but I'm sure if I stick my side arm up the doc's nose and pull the hammer back, the chances will definately improve!
I never wore a cape, but I still have my dog tags.

Wrangler...sorry about the battle you have raging with Skin Cancer but I like the odds of 50/50. IN my world, in our world that is a sure "W". Hang in there, Ill pass one up to GRITS and see if he wont tip the scale for you.
IN the interim, hang around and keep us posted. If I was facing the reaper, these are the guys I would want cheering me on. No fakes, no ahh, too bad's....just man up and fight. You will like it here. Drive on.

Goon, thank you, yes I have been going to M.U.S.C. as well as side visits to Moncrief, at Ft. Jackson, if I ever need a place to rest my head I will be sure to contact you, as I'm sure you'd do the same if my cousin Sean was still around{he was killed in Iraq last month, he was a Marine}: Ranger Slowpoke, my "SPOT" is about 4-1/2 inches long and is over 5mm, it has progressed because it resides on top of a vein, doc says he "can't" and "won't" cut it off, he's hopin' that the chemo will kill it, I'm just wondering if the chemo's killin' the cancer or me: Ranger Abell9, thank you for your words of support, and everyone else, means alot to me, thank you for pass'n it up to GRITS,: Ranger Steadfast, Yes I've finally made it here, thank you for the welcome, glad to see we're "ALL" still keepin' it FREE!

Awesome news! Glad to hear it. May it continue to diminish!wrangler1357 wrote:This just in, the cancer I have on my leg, seems to be checking out and leaving the premises. it went from 5mm, to just under 3mm, and the doc says thats a helluva improvement. Thanks for the prayers all, it seems to be working out well.
