Introduction

Post by Grendel »

My name is Phil, I am 20 years old, I am a junior in college. I work as a security guard.

I will be entering the service after I complete college. I will attend OCS and Ranger school among others.

You are correct, Ranger BeadleBug, when you said that I like to keep it basic. I am 6'0, 240 lbs. I am a former fullback, and am currently cutting some excess weight. I consider myself to be respectful, humble, and realistic. I get incredibly pissed off when people aren't 100% completley honest, even if it works against you. In light of this, I'll say that I am a quiet, private person who doesn't speak unless I am asked to. However, it works to my advantage because I am a hell of a fighter, although I may not appear on the outside to be so.

As stated I am a Ranger hopeful. My intention within the next two years is to take care of everything on my end before entering the service so as not to be a waste when I get in. Showing up out of shape and mentally unprepared is unacceptable.

By becoming a member of this forum, I hope to learn more about the Ranger culture in addition to any words of wisdom.

-Phil

After reading that intro I got the impression that you like to cover the basics and keep it that way. Well son let me tell you that doing just the minimum WILL NOT FRGGIN CUT IT if you want to become a U.S. Army Ranger!

Welcome to our site, we hope you learn, read and listen. Good luck to you.

Welcome to the site. Read more than you post, search before asking questions, remember to address forum members by their whole names and you'll have way more fun than if you don't.
