HELP! My printer is nuts
Every now and then my printer will go nuts and run thru a whole stack of paper printing clubs, spades, hearts, diamonds, music notes, etc.and little characters of all kinds when I try to print stuff off of the net like articles and some e-mails. I suspect some kind of virus, but my Symantec Anti Virus Corporate edition find nothing. Any ideas on what this is ? My printer is a HP Desk Jet 841C.

Ranger Flesh Thorn,
If it is indeed a virus, a visit to www.housecall.antivirus.com will likely solve the issue.
on that site there is a link that will take you to a free online virus scan. It works wonders.
Other than that, have you tried reinstalling the printer drivers?

Ranger Flesh Thorn, I have had that exact problem.
I'm pretty sure its not from a virus, what I've found is if I turn the printer off while its trying to print, or if I mess with it at all while its printing then the next time I turn it on, it will start printing out all of those symbols for up to 5 minutes.
Sure is a pain in the ass.

After looking at the site that Xducer sent me a link to it sounds like a HP Desk Jet problem and not a virus. Something to do with the printer having trouble with binary code. Since I work for retards I will either have to resolve it or live with it.
