Hello.
Grettings, everyone. My name is Chris and I'm an active duty NCO. I'm by no means a Ranger and don't pretend to be. I do have aspirations of serving in the regiment though and that's why I'm here. I've been in for a little over 5 now and I enlisted on SEP 23, 1999. I'm a 42A and um, I guess that is all for now.
It doesn't take a Ranger to know that Rangers lead the way!

Do I have to say?
Ranger H8 Train,
A 42A is a Human resources specialist. I'm a personnel Sergeant. It's interesting at best.

Welcome.
If you are serious about coming to Regiment, then might I suggest you find out if Regiment actually has your MOS in their MTOE. If they don't, then when you re-enlist...you might have to re-class into something that they do have.
Here's another tip. Don't let that new MOS be Infantry....as you will have very little odds of making it. To be honest...check out COMMO, NBC guy, or S-1....those are some of the only jobs where someone could get in without any actual working knowledge on their job. At least, that is what things were like when I was in. Hell, they might even have your MOS there?
Good luck in your endeavors.

Other people were fine and you liked them and were good friends; but you only felt true tenderness and love for those who had been there and had received the castigation that everyone receives who goes there long enough." Soldier: "SGT I haven't been paid in two months"
42A SGT: "Did your 1SG send you here"
Soldier: "Yes"
42A SGT: "Do you have a PAC slip"
Soldier:"Yes"
42A SGT: "Do you have an AKO account?"
42A SGT: "Yes"
42A SGT: "Were closed until 1300, because we're taking care of soldiers come back later"
