Hello all, It's been a while since I posted and alot has happened since then. Like my subject says "I'm in" the Army now. I report to the 101ST by DEC. 12th. I had to take a reduction in rank to E-4, but I'm in and I'll be working on that E-5 board as soon as I arrive.

Congratulations soldier. Now that you got yer foot in the door, you have options to get to that Ranger Regiment if that's what yer looking for.

Going back to MEPS friday. If all goes well I will ship my old ass out to the 4 week refresher asap. Sure are a lot of Marines making the move.

They told me I had to go through that WTC(4WK) , but when I got to MEPS they said that they went by my end of in-active reserve date which started 2002 and ends 2005 , so that meant that I hadn't been out over 3 yrs.. I don't have to go now. If they don't have to spend the money they won't.

There are alot of MARINES doing this, There's one other reporting to CAMPBELL with me on the same day. And there were 3 more up at MEPS the day I went. It's an invasion. Before long the ARMY will be the CORPS :D .

Congratulations Vampire. The unit you end up in will have plenty of on the ground experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm quite sure the whole division has rotated through both spots.

there are so manu former Marines in the Army now. i'm still surprised by it.

doesn't sit well with the jarheads when we toss tha little fact out there when recruiting.
